I first came across Phil Scott and AFR back in 2004 when I was personally looking for a job and found him to be very helpful and supportive in my search for a new challenge. Subsequently Phil placed a number of my ex colleagues in suitable positions around the Blackburn area.
On the basis of my past experience of Phil's work, I asked him to source suitable candidates for my own current position as it is my intention to retire in April 2009. I also gave the same brief to two of the larger recruitment agencies to get the best spread of potential candidates.
Phil provided by far the best service and the best quality candidates. The length of time he has spent recruiting in the Blackburn area and his networking skills has provided him with a large database of potential candidates at all levels and a wide knowledge of businesses in the area. He speaks to each candidate about the positions and gets their agreement to him representing them for the specific role which avoids any conflict with other agencies who provided some of the same candidates but had obviously not spoken to them. His in depth knowledge of the candidate helped to ensure that we got a shortlist of the most suitable candidates for our specific role.

We've used other recruitment agencies in the past, and frankly have never been impressed. Many agencies seem to act as little more than a clearing house for CVs, receiving them from candidates and forwarding to
all prospective employers. But Simon and his team are different. They went to great lengths to match candidates with our specific requirements, and found us the ideal individual.
