Auditor Job Description

Auditors often work in the accounting departments of organisations, assessing the financial accounts and statements to ensure that they are valid and meeting the requirements that organisations must meet, the auditors that work directly for the company they are assessing are referred to as internal auditors.

An external auditor works for an organisation that specialises in auditing company accounts, working away from that company to carry out the same duties as an internal auditor.

There are also different levels of management within the auditor job role, some companies seek senior auditors to manage their own team and others are looking for a junior member of staff to fit within their current auditing team.
