This privately owned business has grown successfully via strategic acquisition and is now a circa £35m operation spanning a number of sites in the North West. A new role has become available for a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in running the department and ensuring reporting and regulatory requirements are met. A key aspect of this role will be ensuring the team produces financial information that supports decision making, meets deadlines and is flexible enough to cope with the changing needs of the business. The key duties of this Finance Manager position will be:
- Managing a team of 6 and ensuring the development of two part qualified staff
- Preparation of Management Accounts and board reports
- Providing analysis to support business planning and commercial activities
- Managing the production of statutory accounts and the audit process
- Over-seeing day to day transactions and payroll
- Monitoring cash and capital expenditure projects
The ideal candidate for this role would be an ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified accountant with previous experience of managing a team and supporting a Finance Director in a fast moving, growing business. This will be a hands on role offering the opportunity to change and improve systems and processes, you must be highly competent in Excel and keen to automate routine duties wherever possible. As part of your role you will need to develop relationships with people outside of the finance function, some of whom will be working remotely, it is there for essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, credible manner.
