Finance Manager

This professional services company has three sites in North Manchester and an excellent reputation within the niche sector they operate. Led by a respected management team of industry experts they are now in a growth phase which has resulted in the need to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the accounts department. This will be a very hands on role supervising two staff with regular interaction with the senior management. Your main duties will be:

• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Ownership of the month end including all balance sheet reconciliations
• Producing monthly performance reports for the fee earners
• Processing the monthly payroll
• Supervision of all transactional and cashiering activity
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Preparation of annual budgets and detailed cashflow forecasts
• Managing the client accounting ledger and WIP
• Prepare monthly recharges
• Preparation of year end accounts and audit liaison
• Support continuous improvement projects

The role will be highly collaborative so excellent interpersonal skills will be required to engage with stakeholders across the business. You should have excellent IT skills with the ability to improve systems and prepare detailed reports and analysis. This excellent opportunity would suit a strong Management Accountant / Finance Manager with experience of working in professional services. You will be joining a friendly team based in a pleasant working environment with potential for 1-2 days WFH once settled.
