This technology led manufacturing and distribution business operates on a truly global scale and is experiencing significant growth via their digital services offering. A recent review of the finance function has identified a need to recruit an ambitious Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance. The role will offer broad exposure and would suit someone who enjoys making process improvements and has the internal drive to investigate problems and resolve issues. A new ERP system has recently been implemented and a key part of the role will involve working closely with other departments to ensure the finance function delivers accurate and timely reporting and analysis.

You will be joining a highly experienced team from whom you will be mentored and developed to realise your full potential. The preferred profile for the role would be a part or nearly qualified CIMA / ACCA Accountant with a good level of management accounting experience who is looking to complete their exams and enjoy progression within a fast moving, private equity backed business. The key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments etc.
  • Management reporting to assist decision making
  • Investigation and analysis of variance to budget
  • Preparation of VAT returns for European sites
  • Assisting with annual audit and statutory reporting
  • Providing support to projects and the wider finance team
  • Developing and improving financial systems and processes

The role requires someone well organized, with strong attention to detail who can communicate confidently at all levels within an organization. You will be using a recently implemented ERP system so an aptitude for working with new technologies and strong Excel skills will also be very helpful.
