THURSDAY 24th November 2016

Brockholes Nature Reserve
Preston New Road

Join us at our next HR Exchange event on Thursday 24 November at our usual venue – Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston.

The workforce is changing!

It is estimated that 3.5 million people will retire between 2016 and 2020.  This year will see generation Y taking on managerial roles and generation Z will be entering employment.

Our guest speaker Lisa Ellis, Senior Adviser at ACASNorth West will guide you through what this will mean for jobs and work. She will also review the unique behaviours and requirements of todays multi-generational workforce and how they are transforming the world of work with their values and motivations.

Peter Byrne, Employment Partner at Taylors, will then look at some of the common legal issues faced by employers of multi-generational staff.

Employees today know their rights and entitlements and therefore so must the businesses which employ them.  Businesses also need to protect themselves from the employment law risks which go with modern ways of working. The topics to be covered include:

  • Getting the right person for the job
  • Flexible working including phased retirement
  • Protecting your business and its confidential information.

Peter will then end the session with our usual Employment Law update.

It’s sure to be another fantastic event for HR professionals, senior managers and business owners and we look forward to seeing you there.

Our September event was completely sold out, so make sure you reserve your place for our November event by booking online now.

We look forward to seeing you on 24th November
