This exceptional opportunity would suit an experienced Management Accountant looking for a role offering plenty of project work and the opportunity to support an operational team.

This new role will be based at their regional office which also encompasses an engineering and warehousing facility where a number of key processes take place. The role will have close involvement with operational staff on site and a head office team so strong communication and reporting skills will be essential. Due to the evolving nature of the business and the sector in which they operate there will be scope for a variety of project work so the ability to prioritise and multi – task will be essential. The key responsibilities for this Senior Management Accountant position will be:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Reporting and analysis of KPI’s
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Capex and labour utilisation analysis and tracking
  • Investment and project appraisal
  • Maintain and develop internal controls
  • Improving management reporting

Suitable applicants to this role would ideally be CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified with strong management accounting and reporting experience, ideally coupled with the ability to communicate credibly with operations staff at all levels and meet group reporting deadlines. Ideally you would also be a strong team player whilst also being able to work under your own initiative.
