Commercial Management Accountant – SJS/12351

This market leading business supplies products and services to customers worldwide, offering a complete package from design and manufacture to installation and maintenance they have a reputation for exceeding the expectations of their demanding customers. As part of their on-going expansion they are now seeking to appoint a Commercial Management Accountant to report to the Finance Director and play a highly visible role within the business driving profitability and controlling revenues and costs. This outward facing position will interact with all departments and have the following responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary
• Detailed cashflow reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Management of WIP and reporting on project performance
• Driving the annual budgeting setting process
• Reviewing overheads and controlling costs
• Developing internal KPI reports to support the needs of the business
• Partnering project teams to improve performance
• Ad hoc support with VAT returns, Intrastat and R&D claims

This role requires someone who can operate independently in a pro-active manner to drive improvements and positive change. You must therefore be self-motivated and well organised, with the communication skills and tenacity to manage stakeholders and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate would be a qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA with previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant type role with good reporting and commercial analysis skills.
