Credit Control Team Leader – TS/12356
Our manufacturing client based in Blackburn, are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Control Team Leader/Supervisor to head up their busy team. This role would suit someone who has a real passion for credit control whilst also thriving to motivate a team of 3 people to achieve their credit control targets.
Duties of the role include:
- Supporting and mentoring a team of 3 credit controllers including allocating workload
- Providing regular KPI reports on customer accounts and cash flow for management
- Managing your own ledger, ensuring prompt payments, and chasing overdue accounts where necessary
- Supporting the team to resolve issues with their accounts
- Dealing with and resolving any complex queries that are impacting prompt payments
- Ensuring any unallocated cash to cleared to the correct customer accounts
- Reconciling accounts when required
- Dealing with any aged debt accounts
- Authorising refunds and rebates when required
- Running weekly meetings with the team to discuss overdue debts and highlight any issues
- Negotiating payment plans where necessary
- Any other duties that fall within credit control and the sales ledger
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of working within a credit control team at a more senior level. This is a very hands on role therefore you must still enjoy doing the day to day credit control. You need to be a confident and friendly communicator, excellent team player whilst also having an organised and methodical approach to your work.
