Purchase Ledger Clerk – TS/17617

Our exclusive client based in Chorley, are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy accounts team. This well-known business has had a very successful few years and is looking to expand their team.
Duties of the role include:
- Processing purchase invoices daily
- Dealing with supplier queries via telephone and email
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing weekly reports on supplier’s accounts
- Ensuring suppliers are paid by their agreed payment terms
- Assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly payment runs
- Processing customer recharges and refunds
- Ad hoc purchase ledger duties
The successful candidate must have purchase ledger experience and be used to working in a busy department. You must be accurate, used to working to tight deadlines and be a confident communicator.
In return you will receive a competitive salary plus a yearly bonus, 25 days holidays plus bank holiday, flexible start and finish times, 3 days working in the office and 2 from home, company pension and free onsite parking. The company will also pay for AAT study should you wish to do it though this isn’t essential if you don’t want to study.
