Due to an internal promotion, our Chorley based client are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join their busy accounts team. This is a stand-alone credit control position therefore previous experience is a must.
Duties of the role include:
- Managing the debts of the business and have overall responsibility of the sales ledger
- Ensuring customers pay on time and in line with agreed payment terms
- Processing fortnightly and monthly invoices
- Managing upfront payments and credit card payments from customers
- Processing bank transactions
- Banking and allocating cash and cheques
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit assessments, planning payment terms and setting terms and conditions
- Checking customers credit and approve or deny credit terms
- Initiate legal procedures if necessary
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to implement effective credit control procedures
The successful candidate must have credit control experience and be used to working in a busy department. You must be used to working to tight deadlines, be a confident communicator and thrive in a target driven environment.
