Financial Controller – SJS/12395

Following a recent internal promotion a new vacancy has opened up for a Financial Controller to provide high quality financial information and analysis that supports the rest of the business. Reporting into a dynamic CFO the position will involve managing a finance team, ensuring accounting deliverables are met whilst also supporting ad hoc work where necessary. My client is looking for a fully CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified accountant with previous relevant experience and the drive and tenacity to succeed in a growth environment. The key duties for this position will be:

• Responsible for all month end processes, reports and analysis
• Management of cashflow and detailed forecasting
• Developing budgets and financial models
• Business partnering key stakeholders
• Improving processes and controls
• Overseeing the annual audit and year end accounts
• Purchasing support, cost and expenditure control
• CAPEX analysis and investment appraisal

A key part of this role will be supervising and developing your finance team, supporting those who are studying, providing guidance and coaching where necessary. A strong technical background coupled with commercial acumen will be key factors influencing your success in this role, you must also be credible and an excellent communicator able to support and on occasion deputise for the CFO. This position will provide really solid experience in a Financial Controller role and will open the door to excellent development opportunities longer term.
