Management Accountant – SJS/12415

This company is part of a substantial international group manufacturing products typically for use in the civil engineering sector. They currently have an opening for an ambitious Management Accountant who is highly motivated and interested in developing their career towards a Business Controller role in a few years time. Manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential for this role, good technical skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders will be the preferred attributes they are looking for in the successful candidate.

This will be an excellent development opportunity for a CIMA / ACCA part or fully qualified accountant looking for a role where they can influence site performance, performing investigative and analytical work that will support decision making and contribute towards profitability. The key tasks associated with this role will be:

• Producing site management accounts with commentary
• Preparing KPI dashboards
• Business partnering key stakeholders
• Reporting and analysis of site performance
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Reporting on manufacturing costs
• Involvement in Balance Sheet Control and review
• Assisting with annual audit and statutory accounts
• Supporting group wide projects

A key aspect of this role will be addressing weak areas of plant performance and working proactively with colleagues to resolve issues to improve efficiency and drive out cost. The ability to work both as part of a team and under your own initiative will be essential, you must also be able to prioritise tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
