This award winning technology business provides innovative products and services to a global customer base. Part of a privately owned international group that works with some highly recognisable brand names they are well funded and continually looking for expansion opportunities. A recent restructuring initiative has seen a number of new roles created at their UK operation, the most senior of which is a Financial Accountant position to support the monthly and annual financial reporting process and the external audit. This role will interact with a number of key stakeholders across the business including the site leadership team, global head office and senior finance executives.

The role is suited to a recently qualified ACA / ACCA accountant working in audit and looking to make their first move into industry or a technically strong accountant based in industry. Knowledge of IFRS and experience of financial reporting on overseas entities will be very advantageous along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation. The key responsibilities for this Financial Accountant position will be:

•  Monthly reporting to head office
• Preparation of statutory accounts for UK and European entities
• Technical support and interpretation of accounting standards
• Supporting group annual audits and interim reviews
• Assisting with month end processes
• Leading special projects and ad hoc analysis

As part of their ongoing continuous improvement programme you will also be expected to assist in the formal documentation of financial reporting controls and where necessary automate and improve financial processes. Longer term this role has excellent prospects as part of their future leaders programme and you will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop your own team. Suitable applicants must highly IT literate as you will be using different reporting packages and Excel on a regular basis.
