Management Accountant – SJS/23183

This company is on an incredible growth journey and has experienced increasing demand for its products worldwide. Providing equipment to a range of industries they utilise the latest technologies at their state of the art manufacturing and assembly facility and are now reaping the benefits of inward investment. Led by an ambitious management team they have a strategic vision to grow the business into new sectors with an ambition to reach £20m turnover. Strengthening the finance team will be a key part of this journey and they are looking to appoint a Management Accountant who can provide a deeper understanding of profitability and operational performance.

Reporting into an experienced CFO you will benefit from mentorship and encouragement to realise your potential. The key duties for this position will be:

• Production of the monthly management accounts
• Preparing KPI’s to understand and improve performance
• Develop operational reporting and margin analysis
• Standard costing with labour and materials analysis
• Producing monthly variance analysis
• Maintenance of fixed asset register
• Management of quarterly stock stakes

The ideal candidate will have a pro-active approach towards continuous improvement in all aspects of financial systems. This will involve working closely with production and operational staff to develop reporting and improve procedures to support the needs of the business. You will be using a variety of systems so strong IT skills will be essential.

Applicants for this role would ideally be part qualified CIMA or ACCA with experience of working in a manufacturing / engineering type environment in a management accounting role. You will receive study support to help you become a fully qualified accountant and can expect increased responsibility to reflect your ability as you add value to the business.
