Credit Control Manager – TS/17712

A well-known business in Bury is currently recruiting a Credit Control Manager to head up their team of 3 credit controllers.  This new role is needed due to the credit control department being relocated to their Bury site and the successful candidate will have full responsibility for the credit control and the sales ledger team.

Duties of the role include:

• Management of the team including 121’s and appraisals
• Recruiting and resourcing for your credit control team
• Be the escalation point for any issues that cannot be resolved by the team.
• Identifying areas of improvement to processes and implementing them with the team.
• Ensuring the team keeps up to date with all unallocated cash, chasing customers when needed and taking accounts on/off stop.
• Manage and challenge project approvals that are passed to the credit control team, understanding any risk and liaising with the senior management with the best course of action.
• Managing and chasing debts of existing debtors and ensuring accounts are kept within credit limits and payment terms are adhered to.
• Supporting the team with query resolutions relating to non-payment of invoices
• Setting targets for the team to work to on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Any other duties that fall under the credit control remit

You will be expected to work to tight deadlines, have an exceptional attention to detail and have strong leadership skills.  You must have been in a management or team leader previously and be confident in directing and guiding staff members.
