Management Accountant – SJS/22399

This successful company manufactures and exports high quality products for a specialist market, well established and possessing a global customer base they are consistently profitable and financially stable. A new position has become available in the finance department for a capable Management Accountant to work closely with the FD with a view to managing the department in the fullness of time. This opportunity therefore has excellent development prospects and can offer future progression into a Financial Controller role. Based in pleasant surroundings this will be a very hands on position involving on the following duties:

• Preparing the monthly management accounts
• Producing weekly KPI’s and production flash reports
• Variance analysis of actual vs budget
• Ongoing management of overheads and expenditure
• Monthly stock reconciliations
• VAT, PAYE and HMRC matters
• Managing FX payments
• Cash flow management and banking
• Improving systems and processes
• Providing financial support and analysis

This role will provide you with the opportunity to be mentored by an experienced Finance Director and if you can demonstrate your capability you can expect to be delegated a variety of interesting project work. The ideal candidate would have an eye for systems improvement and modernisation coupled with a strong commercial acumen and a drive to deliver first class accounting support to the rest of the business.
