A restructuring of duties has created a new position for a Group Management Accountant to report directly into the Head of Finance. This role will take the lead on managing the month end and year end processes, supervising a small team to ensure control of all transactional activities and compliance requirements are adhered to. The ideal candidate for this role must have excellent Excel skills, the ability to operate different software to develop reports and strong communication skills to develop relationships at operational and board level. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone to take their next step towards a Finance Manager / Financial Controller position. The key duties will include:
- Month end reporting and production of the finance pack
- Balance sheet and P&L reporting for each division
- Supervising and developing a team of five
- Cash flow management, reporting and analysis
- Overseeing Payroll, HMRC and company secretarial tasks
- Statutory Accounts production and audit liaison
- Reviewing and improving procedures
- Ad hoc support for re-financing and funding projects
Ideally the successful candidate will have a strong academic background, and preferably be CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified. Previous experience as a Management Accountant / Financial Accountant in a group or medium sized company environment would be preferred although drive and attitude are also key components they are looking for.
