Management Accountant

This market leading design and manufacturing company supplies and installs complex equipment to a range of industrial customers. They have recently restructured to form a group and subsequently appointed a Finance Director to lead the accounts function and lay the foundations for further growth.

An impending retirement has created an opening for an experienced Management Accountant, to join initially on a six month contract but with a strong possibility of being made permanent. This will be a great chance to join a finance function during a period of evolution and as such offers the opportunity to play a key part in the future of the company.

My client is ideally looking for someone to start at short notice, this will be an office based role but could be condensed into four days for the right person. Key areas of experience required:

• Management Accounts preparation
• Forecasting – cashflow & P&L
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Dealing with auditors and year end
• Documenting SOP’s for key tasks
• Assisting with sales and purchase ledger
• Ad hoc project work

The ideal candidate would be a QBE or part / fully qualified Accountant, knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP would be ideal but not essential. Previous experience of producing Management Accounts will be necessary, ideally from a manufacturing / engineering company.
